چکیده
Objective: To compare between implant retained overdenture with two different attachments by measuring : Retention. Bone changes radiographic evaluation. Subjects and Methods: Eight completely edentulous patients were selected from the Outpatient Clinic of Prosthodontic Department; Faculty Dental medicine, Al Azhar University classified into equal groups. Each patient in groups received implants placed mandibular canine-premolar region bilaterally. Group (1): four using equator attachments. (2): magnet study was randomized controlled trial Calculated samples. type randomization that Block The out comes assessor blinded as investigators didn’t know attachment before retention or amount bone resorption Results: Results revealed that, there no statistically significant difference loss during follow up period, mean values at base line after 3 months. But 6 months; Magnet showed significantly lower than Equator attachment. By time a decrease rather locator Conclusion: use supported overdentures leads same effect on crestal resorption. At beginning have quality some its

Magnet-Retained Two-Mini-Implant Overdenture: Clinical and Mechanical Consideration
Two-implant overdentures have become the accepted treatment for restoring mandibular edentulism. The dimensions of regular implants sometimes limit their use, such as in the case of narrow ridges. Mini-implants with reduced diameters (less than 3.0 mm) enable insertion into narrow ridges. A magnet-retained two-mini-implant overdenture system was developed and is described in this paper. Additio...
متن کاملThe Effect of Two Different Attachments with Implant Retained Mandibular Overdentures on the Masticatory Function
Patients with severely resorbed mandibles often experience problems with their conventional complete dentures especially with regard the mandibular ones. The main complaints of these patients are lack of optimal stability and retention of their mandibular dentures [1]. This in return may negatively affect functional ability such as speech, aesthetics and chewing ability [2,3]. The recent develo...
متن کاملTwo Years Retrospective Evaluation of Overdenture Retained by Symphyseal Single Implant Using Two Types of Attachments
BACKGROUND This study was aimed to evaluate complete mandibular overdentures retained by a symphyseal single implant using ball and magnet attachments in both clinical and radiographic evaluation. MATERIALS AND METHODS Ten dental press fit titanium implants were installed in the lower jaws of completely edentulous patients according to two-stage surgical protocol. For each patient, one implan...
متن کاملSingle Versus Two Dental Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture: Study Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial
Background: The consensus is that the standard treatment of choice for the edentulous mandible should be a two implant retained mandibular overdenture. Some clinicians have tried single median implant to retain the mandibular overdenture, however, there is lack of scientific information with single implant retained mandibular overdenture. Therefore the purpose of the current randomized clinical...
